My mom gets excellent care there. They treat the residents like family! My moms health has improved since moving here. They have a scheduled time for meals, daily morning exercises, fun activities, and scheduled nap in bed daily. They treat my mom with love, care, and respect. She has not fallen once here and has no injuries.
They are fed healthy meals. They have a beautiful garden in front of the place, and they bring them out there to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air on nice days. The place is always clean and tidy. My mom is always clean and dressed well. I am so grateful for the care she gets there. Dee, the owner has the kindest heart!
I think it is wonderful your group is explaining to people what it is like living in a Group Home. Many people have asked me what it is like and if I wish I hadn’t moved into one.
I wasn’t real sure the first month or so, but when you bought this place it has always been very comfortable and if I have questions you have always been so good at answering all of them. When I have my friends visit they have been impressed I have my own bedroom, TV and lots of closet space. My only complaint is I don’t have my own bathroom.
Dee is so good about helping with Dr’s appts and getting Dr’s here for toenails or special things that might come up.
We count our lucky stars that we found Benevolent for our beloved mother/mother-in-law. It is such a relief to know that she is in a secure and caring environment. We greatly appreciate the dedication and compassion of the staff at Benevolent.
I moved Carl into Benevolent Adult Family Home after he was diagnosed with LBD and could no longer manage living on his own. Dee the owner and her staff are a blessing for our family.
On my first visit I knew this was a perfect fit for him . The home is immaculate organized with homemade quality meals .
Dee the owner and her staff are not only loving and compassionate she will go the extra mile for her residents treating them as if her own family . I am at peace knowing he is safe and in a home with such love .
Benevolent Adult Family Home consistently provides quality care for their residents. We are always eager to place someone in this home when a room opens up. We appreciate their excellent communication and team approach to care.
My wife lived at Serene Corners (Benevolent AFH 3) . She had Young Onset Alzheimer’s for many years and passed away recently.
I highly recommend Serene Corners and the Adult Family Home (AFH) model in general.
The caregivers at the home are wonderful — all very good at their jobs and each with their own unique strengths and personalities, which I came to appreciate. Dee, the owner, is an excellent provider. She makes sure the residents are well-cared for and that the caregivers have what they need to do their jobs well. In the almost seven years my wife was in residence; she had the same primary caregivers — there was very little staff turnover.
From what I observed at Serene Corner each resident’s needs were well attended to no matter what stage of health he or she was in. Unique dietary needs were met; everyone was cleaned and dressed daily; incontinence care was managed, as needed; medicines distributed accurately. The seamless connection to outside medical care was also a huge plus.
The house was always clean and well maintained. Dee has made improvements to the house over time to both make it a more pleasant environment and to upgrade the mechanics, like putting in a very high-tech, back-up generator. Most important to me, the home always felt very family-friendly. On occasion — including holidays — Dee hosted pot-luck parties where residents, resident family members and staff could gather and feel a sense of community.
I provide therapeutic music to a couple of Dee’s Benevolent adult family homes a few times every month. I am so impressed by how clean the homes are and how attentive the staff are to the needs of the residents. They serve the evening meal right after my music session at the Kirkland home and it always looks delicious and nutritious. I can tell by the conversations I have with the residents that they are really happy and content there. Of the hundreds of senior communities, adult family homes, and memory care communities I’ve been to in the last 13 years, I would definitely recommend one of Dee’s homes above the rest. She really cares about her residents.
My sister was at this home for over a year, and the people took really good care of her at this place. The owner Dee is a very genuine loving person toward her guests. And the people working there we always attentive and caring also. I would recommend this place for a loved one.

I would highly recommend Dee’s Adult Family Home. Dee and her staff go out of their way to take great care of the residents.
They also keep their family’s informed and up to date if anything is needed. It is a warm, friendly environment and all their needs are cared for.
Excellent place to care for a loved one that need help.
